MASKA Circularity
Circularity is a visionary concept that reimagines the way we produce, consume, and dispose of goods. It represents a paradigm shift from the traditional linear "take-make-dispose" model to a regenerative and sustainable approach. At its core, circularity aims to create a closed-loop system where resources are continuously reused, repurposed, and recycled, minimizing waste and reducing environmental impact.
At MASKA we aim for a more circular way of using our garments; the products are designed for longevity, durability, and ease of repair. Through innovative processes like recycling, repairing, and upcycling, we can extend the lifespan of products, preventing them from ending up in landfills.
Embracing circularity requires a collective effort to rethink our consumption patterns, support sustainable practices, and prioritize the efficient use of resources. By embracing this transformative concept, we can forge a path towards a more resilient and harmonious world, where waste becomes a thing of the past and sustainability becomes the norm.
Materials are carefully chosen for their recyclability and biodegradability, ensuring they can be reintegrated into the production cycle.
Tips for prolonging garment life
Mend and dye
Please use the repair kit for mending any small damages to knitwear. First fixate the loops at the edge of the hole, encircle the hole and gently pull together. Trousers can be repaired with the repair patch and a sewing machine or taken to a repair shop. A tailor can help you alter the size of your garments, if needed.
Did your cotton or tencel garments lose colour? Try re-dying it! A similar, slightly darker colour will give the best result.
Pulled out a thread or yarn? A needle threader can be a great help to pull it to the back side.
